I guess sometimes it gives an indication of the person, other times it just seems random.

I like anything that I can spot easily when scanning through long threads. Always a cut and paste paint job as anything else is too much effort - explains the low quality blurry sig.

I just use them for identification really.

Although the OP's one is quite magnificent...

Morba's old one was pretty awesome too.

As others have said i mainly use sigs as a way of identifying a poster.

I tend just to use it as a way to identify particular posters so when I'm looking through a thread quickly it's nice and easy to pick out certain people who I know might have a good thing to say - or it can be a way to avoid peoples posts rather than 'ignoring' them altogether.
