Hi all.
I have BT Infinity, using their VDSL modem and a BT HomeHub3. Plugged into the homehub's only gbE port I have my file / dlna server. Plugged into one of the 100mb ports on the homehub I have a 200mbps powerline link to the HTPC.
The 100mbps link is not quick enough, so instead of buying a separate gigabit switch to give me more gigabit ports I'm thinking I'd be better buying a new router.
I've had a quick look into it and I see the draytek vigor 2820n is rated highly, but it's got quite a hefty price tag.
Another option is to buy a second NIC for the server (which runs Ubuntu server 10.04) and use the server as a router, and just buy a gigabit swtich.
I guess that would be the most flexible option.
Suggestions?
