Hey,

Just wondering if any of you can suggest any reading on eccomerce law, more specifically the protection of stored customer data. I'm thinking along the lines of adequate protection of customer data such as personal details and passwords if they are stored.

Does such a law exist?

Thanks :)

These may be of use: They are the textbooks recommended to be used for 'Computer, Society & The Law' class at my law school.

Lloyd, Ian J. (2008) Information Technology Law, 5th ed., New York: Oxford University Press
Bainbridge, David (2008) Introduction to Information Technology Law, 6th ed., Essex, Pearson Education Limited

To top it off I hate speeches, apparently something we all 'have to do' though :( Also I need to research laws on hacking but I can't find anything more modern than the things from around 1990. Is there something I'm missing?

Cheers
