South east Asia - where to go?

Off to Singapore for a few days in October to see family. Booked flights in/out (spending a total of 5 nights in Singapore) but still have another 10 days to use up.

Anyone got any suggestions on where is good? Ideally a few days by a beach and a few days with city break stuff too.

Did Thailand in 2009 so not too sure about going back, although it's a possibility.

Hop on a 1st class bus/coach to Malaysia for a few days, cheap, easy, comfortable and the views are amazing.

Here's what i'd do.

As Jano says get a posh bus to Kuala Lumpur (think business class airline seats). Spend a few days there. Make your way north to Pulau Perhentian. Spend 5 days lazing around on a beach, diving etc then back to KL via the overnight train.

Another vote for Malaysia and possibly head up to Laos if you didn't go there while you were in Thailand.
