C.A.B. I had to recently for the same issue, unfair dismissal. Turned out I was stuffed, as you have no rights untill being with the employer for 12 months.
I had been with the company for over a year though the first few months I was assigned through an agency.

However, they'll direct you to a solictor who deals in employment law.

You need to speak to your union if you are in one asap. Get a copy of the employer policies if you can. It is true about the 12 month in the job. But the first thing is to speak to a union/cab/acas. You might well need copies of your contract and policies as these help speed the inital process up.
