Bit of a noobie question :).

But i've just bought a bike with what i'd call a normal frame. Anyway i was wondering if it is possible to install a quick release system for the front wheel. And if it is, what parts are required and is it expensive.

Cheers.

Most forks will let you use a quick release front wheel.
You need a quick release wheel and the skewers linked above (if you buy a wheel, you'll usually get a skewer with it)

I would say no, not cheaply. If you bought the bike new and there is no visible release lever, then your bike has more than likely got a solid axle that is attached with nuts, and these axles can't be replaced. It would mean a new front hub at the very least, although when you factor in a wheel rebuild then you may be cheaper with a new wheel.
