What are you trying to do ?

The chart looks like it is for old style crt displays. with old more square aspect ratios, than todays wide screen types.

Most monitors should display something (ensure they have a vga connection) your problem will be that most will have a much higher native resolution. LCD screens do not scale lower resolutions well, and give a terrible image in comparison to a crt if working at a non native res.

More info from you please.. What have you got and what are you trying to achieve ?

Its a bespoke machine which is years old and has a VGA out to connect another screen (some image) which has that specification.

I don't actually own the machine, its for a mate, but this is what he said:
In fact when our display was in for repair we tried many monitors only to find that the old CRTs are the only ones to have the frequency coverage required. Some of the Dell flat screens came quite close but weren't perfect and not good enough.

He has been quoted £2,000 for a new display and I'm sure there must be something cheaper that works.

Thanks.

Basically any high end crt "should" work fine, there appears nothing from the spec sheet that demanding. Often such second hand units are given away these days.

the £2000 quote is fair enough, crt's are now really only required for specialist applications, as the demand is so limited new items fetch a premium. It's clear from your vagueness that this is probably for a high end business application, and not just a mates pc. Perhaps just being upfront will allow us to provide you with the correct info.

I doubt you will find anything new from the regular outlets that does the job which is new, unless you are lucky enough to find someone who has old stock.

Thanks for the reply. Basically I am looking for a consumer flat panel lcd/tft device that will work with it. I've been told the panels here *might* work: http://www.melford-elec.co.uk/MGD_Range but I believe it was a £650 quote for a 19" monitor.

To be honest, I have no idea what you call the machine they use because I not really sure what he even does.

I am looking to pick him up one second or something if I have a few model numbers to work with.
