Hi all,

Decided against a full atx board with a tower case so I am now looking for something a bit smaller.

What do you think of the below spec?

Works out at £775 so could possibly add an SSD to the spec.

the Define Mini only has 4 expansion slots, and that board requires 5 if you want to add a second dual slot card :) .

and with the 2x500GB HDDs, i assume you want to use Raid?

if you are, i would advice you just to stick with a 2TB HDD for media storage and a 128GB SSD(if it fits the budget) for OS,apps and games.

What's the make / model of your PSU?

The Samsung F3 1TB is a good option :)

Corsair HX 1000w (Massive overkill but i have it spare)

Good spot, didnt actually think of that.

Not sure if I will ever run 2 GFX cards but is there any motherboards that allow 2 cards for 4 PCI slots?

Thanks

the Maximus IV Gene-Z at £150
at that price point you might aswell go for a full ATX Gen3 board, but its up to you.

EDIT** just had a look, if you dont need the Z68 features, then theres the Asus P8P67-M PRO for £110

which, according to Asus' site

2 x PCIe 2.0 x16 (x16, x8, x8 or x16, x16, x1)
1 x PCIe 2.0 x16 (x4 mode, black)
1 x PCIe 2.0 x1
