M-ATX Gaming Spec (£900 Budget)

Hi all,

Decided against a full atx board with a tower case so I am now looking for something a bit smaller.

What do you think of the below spec?

Works out at £775 so could possibly add an SSD to the spec.

Ah in that case looks good to me!

But for gaming, I'd probably drop down to 4Gb XMS3, choose the Samsung F3 1Tb HDD as well.

What's the make / model of your PSU?

the Define Mini only has 4 expansion slots, and that board requires 5 if you want to add a second dual slot card .

and with the 2x500GB HDDs, i assume you want to use Raid?

if you are, i would advice you just to stick with a 2TB HDD for media storage and a 128GB SSD(if it fits the budget) for OS,apps and games.

Good spot, didnt actually think of that.

Not sure if I will ever run 2 GFX cards but is there any motherboards that allow 2 cards for 4 PCI slots?

the Maximus IV Gene-Z at £150
at that price point you might aswell go for a full ATX Gen3 board, but its up to you.

EDIT** just had a look, if you dont need the Z68 features, then theres the Asus P8P67-M PRO for £110
