Autofs not mounting a Windows share.

Hi,

I have CentOS 6 Minimal installed and am trying to limit any extras I need to put on. I want to mount a Windows share so have added smb-client, smb-common and autofs.

After setting the auto.master and auto.cifs files I restart autofs and nothing seems to happen. The share mount area is empty and so is the /var/log/messages and dmesg files. I can mount the share via the mount command without an issue.

What can I o from here to try and get this resolved ??

Hi Skiba,

Will have a check and get back tonight with the details.

Are there any SELinux considerations / settings I need to take in to account ?

Also try running automount in the foreground to see if it throws any errors - 'automount -df'
