Bizarre if they're selling off all this years bikes and not bringing out next years until March. What are they planning to do, not sell any bikes for 6 months? :confused:

Exactly my take on it is the 2011 bikes are gone and no more will be made because the 2012 ones are on the way, seems pretty daft to show a complete bike and offer test rides when its not due for 6+ months.

What would you expect to pay for a Reign X2 2010 model that's totally stock and in pretty good condition?

Aye I know that, figured i'd get the info from the horses mouth so to speak, the UK number is just a support line, z germanz know more I would assume about the release dates of new products

Got a question for you guys

I decided i going to stick with hardtail instead of getting a FS as it just too costly to maintain and a good hardtail can do most things a FS can do anyhow tbh most of the time

Question is, should i upgrade my rockhopper frame?

Or should i buy new hardtail like the canyon AL 8 for around 1k.....

Or maybe a new frame like on-one 456 carbon...

Don't think about the extra cost of FS. Think about the more enjoyment you can get from it.

I would be upgrading the parts as and when they wear out. Plenty of upgrade potential there.

Whats a decent chain for a 10 speed setup? Nothing too costly as its not for me, they want cheap and cheerful

KMC X10 or Sram PC1091 for about £30. They will last well to abuse and lack of care.

Shimano chains suck (pardon the pun)

KMC X10 thats the one with re-usable master links right? I know the SRAM 10spd ones your not meant to use them again.

If your not desperate wait a month or so and the 2012 bikes should be out

nothing really comes even close to the Nerve AM for spec/price.

Yes. Although I thought the KMC and Sram powerlinks were much the same.

I have that bike and its seen me fine both on and off-road (Red route round Glentress). I would recommend spending that wee bit more and getting the disc brake version if you plan on upgrading the forks though as the v-brake one doesn't come with disc compatible hubs on the wheels.

At £280, you can't go wrong TBH

No it doesn't. There's half a degree difference in published geometry, 68.5 vs 68. Still looks very good value though a AM5 seems slightly better to me with it's Fox shock.
