BASEL REALLY NOT BAD, EXCEPT FOR THE TWO MINUTES WITH THE 2 GOALS OF WELLBECK. SINCERELY I DON'T SEE A GREAT MANCHESTER UNITED BUT CLEARLY MUCH MORE STRONGER THAN BASEL, ANYWAY 3 OR 4 GOAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR BASEL. THE MOST DANGEROUS ACTIONS COME ON THE RIGHT SIDE AND THE DEFENSER PARKER IS REALLY WEAK.

YEP, DEFINITELY MORE GOALS TO COME FROM UTD THOUGH, CAN SEE DIOUF OR OWEN COMING ON TOO.

****. Pretty undeserved to be quite honest but not entirely surprising. Penalty on Silva within 5 minutes, and we were matching them pretty much blow for blow until they went up. Shame Napoli are winning too, makes even qualifying from this group 2nd very difficult now. Aguero is trying to do way too much and keeps giving it away, most of the forward moves are breaking up around him. Doubt Tevez will be any better though as he's really not sharp.

Oh well, Champions League was nice whilst it lasted :D

City have been poor. Bayern have been all over them, one way traffic for the majority of that first half. C'mon City up your game here.

Shocking decision for the non penalty against Bayern / City. Shocking.

Just seen the Silva one, Silva should have stayed up on that one, but still a penalty - not every ref gives them, but seen them given. Ribery one should've been given, that was just a blatant 'block' :p

Don't agree with that at all. They've had a couple more meaningful runs forward but we don't deserve to be down 2-0. Silva penalty claim which is pretty nailed on, Micah claim which is less so but you'd certainly give it. Only reason Silva's wasn't given is because the ref didn't want to give a pen within 3 minutes of the match starting!

I think the Richards one was worse still. City have had lots of possesion but not done anything with it, Bayern seem to be playing the Napoli game, counter-attacking.

City defense has gone to pot this year. No idea why.

Feel sorry for Hart. He has made 3 great saves that he really shouldn't have had to.

Shambles.

Pretty simple, De Jong, and playing an attacking formation, Nasri in games like this = not a good idea ;)

Look at utd, Utd's defence has gone to pot this year, Bayerns defence didn't look to great, Real's defence is woeful, and Barca's isn't great.

Bayern got more into the game the less City attacked, attack = the most effective form of defense, when you start backing up the pitch trying to stop their attacks, you kill your goal threat while giving them more chances. City were on top when they were attacking constantly.

First goal wasn't great, as Ribery came across, he got just ahead of Richards and no one at all from the middle came across to block the inevitable shot on goal, Kolo spotted it, ran out, almost got the block but it was too late. Frankly De Jong would have spotted that, come across and made the block, tackle or broken his leg :p

De Jong for Barry and Tevez for Nasri, they can still get back in quite easily but have to start attacking hard again.

Unfortunately simulation doesn't really help anymore, even if it's quite a blatant penalty the over exaggeration with simulation normally sways the ref the other way :(. Can see City coming out firing in the second half though!
