Yeah, you're going to struggle maxing out BF3 at that res for £1000 mate.
Is there anything at all that you have already that you could use? PSU/HDD/Optical drives etc.
Gfx-wise you would need to spend around £400 (580 3GB/6950CF/560Ti SLI)

So if you already have an optical drive and HDD that would fit the bill nicely and overclock those 560Ti's and it should do fine in BF3 even at that resolution. If you don't have those parts, they cost about £80 and I would go for the Samsung SpinPoint F3 1TB SATA-II 32MB Cache - OEM (HD103SJ) personally although it's much of a muchness.
I wouldn't bother with an SSD to be honest, I'd rather have the extra VRAM, PSU power and nice big case (coming from an SSD owner btw).
