facebook like button for someone elses page?

I'm doing a website for a client who sells various branded products, and he wants his customers to be able to 'like' the brands, from his page, on to their facebook.

So if he is selling some Adidas shoes, Joe surfer comes to his Adidas shoes page, sees the Adidas logo and underneath is a 'like' button, which likes the Adidas company page.

Is this possible - it looks like it might be but the documentation is more towards adding your own like button to your own page. I doubt I'm the first person to want to do this however.

Any help appreciated.

well, as is so typical of programming problems, the second you post a frustrated forum topic, your next google search throws up the result:

http://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/plugins/like

so that looks like the solution, just in case any future frustrated web devs are after the same info.

On the link MossyUK posted, you can type in the URL of a site to like, or a URL to a facebook fan page that you can like.
