No POST GIGABYTE GA-870A-UD3 Rev3.1

Motherboard is displaying no post or bios messages/beeps,
CPU is supported I have checked this.
can i put this down to a faulty M/B or CPU?

-Have tested,
-With/Without CPU
-With/Without PSU/ Test
-with/Without GPU/ Test
-with/Without RAM

All cables plugged in? including the one near the CPU socket?

yep all pluged in, just a slow spinning CPU fan and no beeps, power light is on and everything!!! slightly confused?????

Is the bios the correct version, sometimes the bios needs updating to support a newer CPU.

What CPU do you have?

AMD FX4100, and as far as i know bios is bang upto date, machine is brand new, im working on it for a friend, he got all of the parts and dosnt work, no hdds installed just M/B, CPU, RAM, GPU, and psu

AMD AM3+ FX4100
4GB Kingston DDR3, cant rember the exact spec
210 Silent Graphics 512Mb/ have tested with old one aswell
500w Cheap PSU, But have tested with 750w OCZ

have tried cmos, not the ram thing yet, same as i havent tested any other ram modules yet, i will have a go at that tomorow!

thing is the M/B dosnt beep, it would beep if; cpu was not installed, cpu was faulty, ram was not installed, ram was faulty, the only reason a M/B dosnt beep is if it is faulty
