Tanqueray or Bombay Sapphire would be my choice.
Love them both...but I usually just drink Gordons as it's what they usually have in the pub

As one that's a bit more unusual I quite liked Blackwood's gin when I've had it, produced in limited quantities from ingredients on Shetland it was rather good - however as it is made in fairly small batches that may vary somewhat.
Saw some Fever Tree in Tesco today. £3.40 or so for 4 small bottles. No chance.
Worth every penny. There's no point putting expensive gin in cheap tonic.

I went and bought a bottle of Fever Tree today (as well as a bottle of Tesco Tonic water). I'm still a bit too hungover, but after dinner I'm going to do a blind taste test and see what's what. I really hope it isn't that different as I can't afford £1.40 for a small bottle of tonic!
Tesco's is okay, but that's about it - there's a sweetness to it that doesn't quite sit right. Fever Tree is far more neutral and subtle.I went and bought a bottle of Fever Tree today (as well as a bottle of Tesco Tonic water). He'll probably have spent £1.60-ish on a 500ml bottle. That seems a lot. Don't they do 4 packs of fever tree for around £3?
Meh, Fever Tree isn't that much better. It's not worth the price, that's for sure.
