Intel E7400
2x 2gig DDR2
1x sata 7200 HDD
2x 120mm fan
GT 285 (Palit 2x 80mm fans cooler) - the new addition to the system

power supply is a Corsair CX 400 (V1 I think)

My worry is with the GT285, which seems to recommend >42a, and the PSU is only rated @30a (12v rail). Will this definitely be a no go?.

It would certainly be at its limit if it could run it, but I wouldnt be overly happy trying

If youre after a new good value PSU whicih could run it then this OCZ on This Week Only is good value and up to the job

Thanks. The GT285 is actually one a mate is selling and probably over-powered for my other friends needs, so if he needed a new PSU, it will be cheaper to buy a different gfx card - something like a GT440 or 520...its the dedicated HDMI out that's the main purpose really.
