Did mine on another PC, just burned the ISO file to a DVD, split up the RAID 0 array, booted the PC twice, typed in “YES” when asked, plugged the SSD’s back into the RAID 0 array, job done easy as pie:D:D

so painless was doubting it at first but shazam it worked :)

Raid 0 System drives both updated and straight back into windows

Thanks Bledd, my drive today hit 5226 hours on 0009 and was freezing each hour. I already knew about the issue but couldn't be bothered to update the firmware the typical way and left it. The new windows method is far better and my drive is now happy again!

Hadn't seen this update!

I also thought it was safer to do the update from the CD/USB rather than through Windows? Anyone had issues with the Windows updater?

About time we had a seamless way to upgrade the firmware without having to faff about with usb sticks!
