On the BBC news they said the liquidators will deal with what's left after the assets have. Even transferred to a newco.
I'd have thought there wouldn't be much.

Probbaly looking at the books and see who was responsible. Simples Whyte recently. Murray previour 10+ years. Job done. Get the prison suits ready for the pair of them.

Now here we are a whole day after the news was broken. What have we heard from our Governing bodies?????? SFA and SPL??? Silence is deafening. Neither are fit for purpose.

The Herald reporting that HMRC are now looking to go after the players as well.

Been saying that all along. No process for governing who owned clubs, no leadership when one of their main clubs is down the pan and trying to bend the rules to allow them to survive for financial gain when we could all see where this was going (outside of tabloid journalism of course).

The various board members just seem to be trying to save their own positions through it all.

What do you want to hear from them? What do you expect them to do at the moment? Nothing can happen until the newco takes over Rangers assets.

Anything something they are supposed to head up football in this country.

From Sorry to see whats happening to haha got what they deserved. their silence is a joke.

Good news for fans of other clubs, the rest of us will be okay if Rangers do cease to exist.

Gordon Smith said while at Rangers "Unlike many senior figures in the Scottish game, Smith has no fears for the wellbeing of the clubs Celtic and Rangers would leave behind in the SPL if they did move on to help form a new league.

In fact, he is adamant that other clubs having an increased chance of winning the national title for the first time since Aberdeen back in 1985 would result in vastly increased gates and general renewed interest."

Phew, so it seems all the scaremongering from the Rangers media and Rangers fans that scottish football is dead without them was just a ruse after all.

Mismangement of a company is not a crime.

Going into debt is not a crime either.

Knowingly benefitting from tax evasion is a crime but I don't see that this has been done. Who exactly has benefitted unless you count Whyte getting 2 quid for his shares instead of 1?

It would be prudent on the part of the SFA to wait until at least Thursday afternoon before issuing a statement. I would not be surprised if things took and unexpected turn.

Though a statement like 'We are aware of the situation and monitoring it closely for a conclusion to be reached before we issue a full statement' though useless is better than silence.

Well in the wee tax De Boer and Flo may never have came to Rangers without the pay deal made available through the tax evasion scheme. So Rangers benefited as did the players. Similarly if the big tax case if proven the club and the players benefited from being able to offer and receive better pay deals.

They are probably desperately trying to work out what their next move is.
Tear up the rule book and let Rangers stay in the SPL cos they are worth too much money.

Or

Treat them like any other team, throw them out and let them start again from scratch, thus keeping sporting integrity.
Damned if you do, damned if you don't I guess.

Oh right. Guess that shows just how far outwith their income they were living then.
It'll be interesting to see how well they will do with a realistic budget.

More like he mortgaged so many season tickets to buy the club he had little cash left. Conman from start to finish. At least hmrc know who was at fault and hence why they will chase him.
