Dundee Utd the latest club to go public with a no vote for Rangers in the newco according to the BBC. Looking more likely the club will be in division 3 next season if they're lucky. Fan pressure caused the chairman to decide their vote.

Depends if it's a secret ballot. They can say what they like in public if no one well know their vote.

The clubs can request one but I doubt at this stage they'll do it now with clubs going public with how they'll vote. ICT likely to vote no, Aberdeen under pressure to do so and possibly St Mirren even if no fan ownership. Hibs hinting they'll vote no and Motherwell doing a ballot of fans.

Celtic going to be under even more pressure from their fans to go public with a no vote statement.

Part time premier league here we come....

Enjoy some "quality" football everyone..

Not sure why you think there was any quality football being played in the SPL for the past few years ;)
Sure Rangers and Celtic way above the rest but to say those sides play quality football would be an exaggeration

Don't think that'll matter much to the fans now that they know the power of the Old Firm is being broken.

We've had a Mikey-Mouse league for years it's just with the Old Firm domination the media said it was okay and we now also have chairmen realising it's fan power that's important, not Sky money.

Aberdeen now officially confirmed as saying no to newco. :)

Been hearing Aberdeen are next in line for Admin and this is why 5 directors were removed/left. Including 2 who had given personal guarantees on the debt the club has. Here's hoping :) And that it be the first of many.

I think the Rangers fans forget that half the clubs in the SPL have experienced first division football and have seen our clubs have some absolutely shocking players but for all that, the football in the first is pure unlike the SPL, you have a realistic shot of winning it, its not ideal, but our core support changes little from first to SPL and other clubs will be similar, cloth will be cut where it has to but thats not a problem.

3-0 on penalties to the diddies, 2 more no's and dundee or dunfermline can start making proper plans for next year.

Surely in the interest of Sporting Integrity Dunfermline stay down as they were rightfully relegated mind you Where was the sporting Integrity when Aberdeen were saved from the drop. I have no problems with Dundee coming up.

yeah id rather see Dundee come up, Dunfermline were honking last season and as you say, you finish bottom you should go down, I guess though previous things like this have let the club being relegated stay up, since the liquidated club went down in their place.

Top link, the season ticket money isnt ring fenced after all and Duff and Phelps have their hands on it, what a sorry shambles this whole thing is now.

I don't want any Scottish team in any of the English Leagues.
.

AGREED

Why would we even consider dropping 2 English clubs to accommodate any Scots clubs or even 2 more clubs in a ridiculously big league, they wouldn't bring anything to our game except bigotry and even more violence.

They can play their footy up there, go broke or prosper up there, they offer us nothing except a few thousand extra gate receipts, but only 2 or 3 thou can come anyway so what is the point.

Far better for Scots footy in general to restructure in a way that doesnt rely on 2 clubs divided by tribalism for its weekly injection of cash.

Them coming here is a pathetic suggestion with no more merit than asking PSJ or Marseilles, I couldn't give a **** what happens up there, footy will never die just change, stop supporting bloated financial self interest and kick dead rangers out and let new blood flourish in their place.

FUMING!!!

PS. If money drags them here they should start at the frigging bottom and work up if they are able, like every other mofo had to.

Keep your knickers on lol it's just a ploy and Celtic have not even been mentioned - You are arguing with yourself and derailing the thread :D.

Aberdeen technically weren't saved from the drop, unless the expansion was planned so that they wouldn't be relegated.

There was going to be a play-off between Aberdeen, Dunfermline and Falkirk but Falkirk's ground didn't meet the SPL requirements (not sure why they couldn't groundshare or something but that's a different story). So it was more than likely Aberdeen would have been relegated but can't be sure.

Problem is Dundee have been stained with going into administration twice so would it make much difference replacing Rangers with them? On the plus side it would mean the return of Dundee derbys.

With that news about the season ticket money I think we can safely say fans will refuse to renew until the whole mess is sorted, though they were probably doing that anyway.

Nope Aberdeen were saved by the reconstruction SPL threw out every option put to them even ground sharing for part of the new season by Falkirk who were upgrading their stadium. It was done with the intentions of saving Aberdeen. Plain and simple!

Sporting integrity?

Having a laugh!

Empty words that are being used as a cudgel to beat Rangers when they are down. Will the SFL let Rangers in? Not really been answered either has it?

If Rangers did go to Div 3 would they still receive sanctions for dual contracts (if proven?)

Also on the larger scale wonder how many other clubs will be deducted points for side letters and payments in kind?

Any team found out should be punished, seems though Celtic only used it as a payoff and not as part of actual pay and no one else used them.

I can see Rangers getting suspended for a year and then into a newly revamped league structure .
