Never liked the looks of these, but can't knock the VFM
Hell of a car for the cash.
+1
£6,300 is a bargain for the performance, mileage and condition.

This is probably why most manufactures use a turbo and make sure that the car sits 500rpm below spooling at 70 in 5th to help economy figures.
You do realise that it's possible to cruise at say, 5000rpm and not create any boost on a turbo car?
Lovely car Rilot. Not keen on the front of the S type but the rest is gorgeous! And such a bargain IMO.
I saw 4 total dogs and 2 lovely ones. One nice one was way over priced and the seller wouldn't budge. This one was the 2nd best I saw but £2k cheaper than the other one.
Now I thought the corrosion problem was purely cosmetic and caused no other problems? Is that the case, or does it cause structural problems too?
Cosmetics is of course important, but a purely cosmetic corrosion problem strikes me as a good way of getting a cheaper car
Not bad!
Just a quick bump here as I think you missed it:
I'm just curious as the X350 XJR is currently on my possibles list for next car, and you've obviously researched them.

Well, I just drove it home this evening.
I averaged 31mpg for the trip which involved about 40 miles of motorway at 90mph and a little bit of A road work.
Pressing the loud pedal to make the supercharger whine results in 4mpg
You got the point I was trying to show so is there any need to be such a pedant.
