Has anyone bought and returned from directly from Goole Play Store? After my issues many, many pages back I returned mine for a refund. Received by Google 25th July and still no refund as of today.

I've emailed them and they reckon I need to wait up to 14 working days for the refund - I just find that staggeringly pathetic for this day and age, and quite frankly think I must have been fobbed off. It's 14 working days tomorrow, and I will be going politely mad at them tomorrow.

Interested to know if anyone has doen a direct return and also had to wait this long?

I've hav'nt seen a single post from anyone saying they have had a refund yet on here or XDA, i'm in the same boat as you refused delivery and Googles distributer recieved the tab back on the 25th.

Same here and it was returned on 19th July, end of this week they'll be breaking DSR laws on 30 day refunds, completely inept for one of the world's biggest companies.

Just ordered one of these evening and should get it Wednesday if Tesco play fair.

Really looking forward to it, haven't bought a decent gadget for a long time!

yeah I've still had nothing even though they promised it last thursday.. really shockingly bad bordering on illegal service.

Wow! I can't believe how poor Google are. On a selfish note at least I know I haven't been singled out for some strange reason (I refused to use TNT as the link they sent me was to set up a business account).

Really crap service.

Hi guys,

I took my Nexus away this weekend and I was watching a film using the otg cable. I then put the nexus to sleep and took the cable out.

Come back to it 10mins and it wont turn on. When I push the power button there is a buzzing noise coming from inside. Has anyone seen this before? i have plugged the charger in but the screen is just blank.

Thanks guys

same thing here without the buzzing though. needed to switch on again using power and vol up for around 10s. i'm using stickmount

I ordered mine from Google Play on the day it was announced, it arrived on the 19th of July and they still haven't taken the payment. I have sent several emails to say that I haven't been charged yet and I haven't had a response to any of them yet.

I have also phoned them several times, during one call I was put on hold for ages and then the guy hung up on me. I phoned back and spoke to another guy that said there was no evidence that I have received it and the order shows as being cancelled. After speaking to his supervisor he said that this has happened to quite a few people and I would be contacted within 48 hours by a "payment specialist". That was over a week ago, if they are like that when trying to take payment, then I wouldn't expect to receive a refund from them any time soon.

I will be happy to pay for it if they contact me, but I won't be going out of my way to chase this up anymore.

Well the Samsung USB otg cable came today, tried it with the ps3 pad and a mouse both work. Now to root and use stickmount then can use flash drives etc for storage.

Any one know if connecting to a printer via USB cable works? Have a wireless HP printer but seems to be a problem with it, need contact HP about it.

Already asked but never got a reply, will USB 3 external hard disk work?

Waiting on the mofred case now, ordered same time as the otg cable but through marketplace seller so separate deliveries.

A USB external HDD will work as i've done it myself but only if you can power the drive as the tablet does'nt put out enough power to drive a HDD.

No it will not work.

Has anyone had experience of getting their bank to initiate a charge back on a visa debit card? Google are being pathetic about refunding me for my refused tab, never again google never again.

There's a clasp that you push over the Nexus bezel as shown in the photo above. Very secure and highly unlikely to open without human interaction. Theres also an elastic strap that you can use to further secure the case, visible in the first 3 photos. It's not really needed though.

Yours is the same as my poetic except for the speaker cutout, the 1st gen poetic hardback had a cutout like yours but they changed to a line of circular holes when they changed the sleep on/off magnet as the 1st gen was too powerful and turned the Nexus 7 back to sleep when the cover was turned back around itself.

The long black elastic is handy for securing the back of the cover to the screen when you have your hand through the wide band, it stops the screen flapping when you move your hand.

K, im really confused about how to send this back, and less than impressed with Google.

My instructions to send them back are this..

To initiate the return of your original device you'll need to do the following:

1. Print the attached Return Authorization form

2. Insert the Return Authorization form into the outer shipping box.

3. You'll receive a return shipping label within 4 business days of receiving your replacement device. Use this label with the shipping container used for returning your original device.

4. Schedule a pickup with our shipping provider, or take your package to any authorized shipping outlet near you.

I have the PDF print out to make to put in with the original box, but who the hell am I supposed to ship it to and where?...am I having to pay for it? DO I have to pay for a NEW device to be sent to me, and with THAT device ill get the RMA shipping label!?

But miffed at this kind of talk...
. Additional charges for the full price of the device will be incurred if our service center doesn’t receive your original device within 21 days of this email.

What company in the world threatens with this kind of action for NOT returning a device.
I think I might just want a refund now, Google's CS seems to be woeful for me now.

A second batch seems to have hit stores, a friend was over from Finland last week and Currys and the purple shirt place didn't have any in the 10 nearest stores. Now this week they all have stock.

Luckily he managed to buy two at the airport, neither have even the tiniest bit of screen raise so maybe these are from the second batch too.

I will be doing a chargeback for my return now. google's RMA support yesterday pretty much told me there is a mandatory 14day processing time within Google, before they will initiate the refund. This was after they'd asked me to provide my proof of delivery(again). Sounds like their system is toasted and they can't track anything.

When pressed, I was told that they initiated the refund yesterday. Funnily enough it's not been posted onto my account today, again.

I've learnt a valuable lesson over this and Google.

How do you go about doing a chargeback? And did you pay with debit or credit?
