Oh my god, I forgot all about that! Decent meet that, the MMs always were a good laugh.

This thread brings back so many memories.

One of my fav runs out was the Buxton meet, about 5 of us going like a bat out of hell up towards the Cat & Fiddle, rumours state that some cars got fully airborn on several occasions.

Epic epic drive out that was.

Ah yeah, I was in the RS going up and think I jumped in the MX-5 with you on the way down. Was it Sone who turned right out of the junction instead of turning left up to the pub?

I saw John on the A666 near Bolton last year. He's very local to me but I've not seen him since. Wonder if he still has the RS.

Don't know what you are talking about, my car never left the ground, nor went above 35MPH ;)

Indeed it was! Let's hope it doesn't happen again on 30/10/2012!

Still got that on top of my wardrobe!

I've got loads of Lowe's Clio GTT pics at home, i'll have to dig them out if he's doesnt pop in himself with them.

It was my girlfriends (now wifes) car as a standard 1.4RT, then overtime we modified it, before Lowe bit the bullet and took it to EP Motorsport for the 5GTT conversion.

We found the donor 5GT as a MOT failure in Witton, Birmingham. But the previous owner had loads of engine work receipts and in the end it was a good engine.

Once Lowe got the bug, he spent a bit more on it and had a hybrid fitted and an uprated clutch. The last bit of work as I recall was the HKS SSQV, which we modified to fit and the BMC - it sounded like a jet plane when itt came up behind you!

Some kid in Wales bought it off him from the RSC forums and blew it up within a week overboosting the death out of it! Shame really....Lowe should have kept it!

Was a really good sleeper back in the day! Most thought it was a standard green lowered clio with black rims....

He then bought my Clio 16v and blew it up on a rolling road day at a Renault specialists around the Tamworth/Atherstone (can't remember the name!) area. The owner Nick talked him round to having a Spider Cup F7R fitted, which he did - it was a beast as well to be fair!

That was my old Clio 16V wasn't it? Wouldn't mind one of them again, was a fun car to drive

Yes mate it was.

I picked it up from around Bristol at the time didnt I? Your girlfriend was using it IIRC?

It's actually on the isle of man now - sprayed Lime Green and stripped (interior wise)! Poor girl....after all that money I spent on bodywork!

I've got the pics from the lad that now owns it.

Ok, a few off the top of my head

- RR meets in Powerstation Cheltenham .... And then Tewkesbury (Merlin organising the first, and then me 'pro'ing it up' with a clipboard and checking wheelbases to make the day as quick as possible so we could get to the pub
- the RR meet when someone called me from Birmingham having followed Merlin and Si wondering where the pub was
- seeing the caravan roll on the opposite side of the m5 on the way to the pub from I think the 5th RR day
- wills P1 after eidolon set up the stereo. The rear view mirror moved with the bass !
- freefallers mx5 turbo and the 0-60 runs
- looking at the rear wheel of fox's 530 after the 'badger' incident and having my photo taken whilst saying 'er, it's not straight' making it look like I'd backhanded the car
- the panic on lowes face when he rr'd the Clio turbo, asked them not to rev past 5k and they kept going (past) till the power dipped off.
- peternems e39 m5 when it had the 'stock sound' supersprint exhaust and updated intake. Like driving a NASCAR.
- Llyr building the mk2 turbo golf, and the dedication to get it down to the RR day. I remember searching for MOT stations nearby and trying to find post offices open to buy tax from !
- iceman's blue vx220t and the drive from the roundabout behind the Aston db7 gt (I think?)

Plenty more great memories, but there's a few

Hiding the Fiesta in my tent and trying to convince the owner (Sam?) that it had rolled into a lake... Hilarious. Pic above. Also pleased to see I've lost weight since then.

I think Sam fell asleep in a BBQ once. Oh and making epic fires to keep warm.

Silverstone camping meets FTW. that was the first time I drove an MR2 and booted it out of the campsite, with Phil going 'be careful, it's RWD'. Meant when I got my own MR2 I drove like a granny for the first few miles. Hmph!
