Hi All,

So I have decided I need to get an HDMI adapter for my MacBook Pro as need the ability to hook it up to my HD TV, so I headed over to the Apple website and was shocked to see they charge around £30 for an adapter!!!

What I wanted to know is:
  • Are there any quality issues with buying cheaper cables from Ebay or Amazon?
  • Are there any recommended brands for cheaper alternatives?
£30 seems crazy so I am hoping this is similar to the HDMI-HDMI cable situation where a £3 cable is just as good as a £30 cable...

I've had two miniDP->HDMI cables now off Amazon. First one broke, second one working fine.

I'd avoid the super cheap ones but there's plenty of decent cables for around £10-15.

I bought this item from the place mentioned. I paid 9 quid as I went for a make/supplier with lots of good feedback. It works perfectly.
