SB doesn't like memory with voltage more than 1.5v, from what I have read 1.5v is memoty sweet spot for SB. You should try different memory with 1.5v. I use these http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-143-CR, and can overclock to 5.2, but settled at 4.8 for a quiet life with no problems.

Hello

Has anyone experienced random (cpu wasn't loaded at the time) 'memory management' BSOD's (2 so far in the past 2 weeks) with this board, if so how did you fix it without RMAing the ram?

Really a pain in the butt , as my once stable 4.3oc since oct'11 is now slightly unstable, memtesting the ram (using the xmp profile btw) with my overclock results in errors really small ones like 2-3 in a single pass and at most 200 or so errors. Having tested yeasterday i know the problem ram module but with my system at stock settings the ram doesn't show errors after 3 passes / 3-4hrs testing.

I'm asking as I've got a RMA number from g-skill but when they come test my memory in their test rig it'll probably pass memtest86+ or whatever they use.

Beginning to think its temp related, as any increase in volts to ram or cpu results in errors in memtest, gonna try downclocking the ram later to 1333 and test it with my overclock and see how that goes.

Thanks in advance.

Bad ram is bad ram, after trying to downclock the ram and my OC it still error'd. So on Saturday 4th Aug I rma'd the ram, my main concern was the length of turnaround but I was pleasantly surprised received my replacement ram on Thursday 9th morning :D.

All tested and everything is good again, got my stable system back. So *thumbs up* to g-skill for the speed of service.

hate this motherboard, it is horrible , errors! overclocking and booting errors everywhere! cold boot errors! awake from sleep errors! usb 3.0 keeps failing! a chip burned out on its own! i could go on!

Avoid it at all costs!

I'm being deadly serious. It is a pain in the arse. Google it, there are errors! ERRORS EVERYWHERE!!!

*ahem* did i get my point accross?
most likely u just had/got a fault board. 99% of people are happy with it, including me. i have no issues with this board..

also your blaming the board but it "could" of been another hardware at fault such as PSU

the windows7 ones should work.

but dunno why anyone would stick windows8 on any desktop pc

I just did it.

Day One: Hated it.

Day Two: Hmmm not as bad as people say.

Day Three: I won't be going back to Windows 7. I know, I cannot believe it, I am warming to Metro, even though XLan and XUSB do not work in Windows 8.
