They are just pointless imo.

Insure the box quoted my 18 year old brother £5000 online for a 1.2 corsa club!

A telephone call got a price of £1500.

What's the point in online quotes if they throw up this rubbish?

A difference of £3500 rather implies that the information used to generate the quote was different for some reason.

I'd be amazed if somewhere was giving online quotes of £5000 and then just knocking off £3500 because you phoned them up instead :/

Look at the Admiral group - Admiral, Bell, Elephant and add named drivers if you can. I've had quotes as low as £1100 as a 20yo with 2 months license held and 0NCB. I've not found any companies who can match the above.

Speaking of phone quotes, is it possibly to haggle/negotiate insurance quotes cheaper over the phone once you get one from the website?

This is ******* ridiculous

Now insure the box are trying to charge me £5600 for a 2002 1.0 Corsa club. When I said about the previous price, they just said that quote was now expired. I don't know what I am going to do. Admiral want £5k as well. I don't even live in a dodgy area.
