Hi everyone!

It's been a while since I've posted here but these forums were a great source of advice for me in the past so I'm hoping that a kind soul would be able to advise on the build components below.

I (foolishly) brought myself an iMac last year when I should have upgraded my Q6600 rig. Lesson learned! I'm considering the below to replace said iMac and also my X-Box (another foolish mistake but I won't get into the FPS PC vs Console debate here). I've no interest in overclocking any of the components, I just want a stable, well performing rig that will last a few years.

Intel Core i5-3570K 3.40GHz (Ivybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor (77W) - Retail
Samsung S23A350H 23" Widescreen LED Monitor - Glossy Black
EVGA GeForce GTX 650Ti SSC PCI-Express Graphics Card (01G-P4-3652-K1) with Assassins Creed III PC Game
GeIL EVO Veloce Hot-Rod Red 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 PC3-17000C11 2133MHz Dual Channel Kit (GEV316GB2133C11DC)
ASRock Z77E-ITX Intel Z77 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Mini ITX Motherboard
Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache - OEM (WD1002FAEX)
OcUK Tech Labs - Lian Li PC-Q08B Mini-ITX Cube Case - Black - Noise Dampened
Akasa Venom 550w Modular '80 Plus' Power Supply
OCZ Agility 3 60GB 2.5" SATA 6Gb/s Solid State Hard Drive
Pioneer BDC-207DBK 8x BluRay ROM / DVDRW SATA-II Optical Drive - Black (OEM)

Many thanks,

- Jason

Change the 650ti to a 7850. Better performance. Also i'm not sure how the akasa venom is but i would recommend changing it to a seasonic psu. As for the SSD, the samsung 840 120 GB is on sale at this moment in time so i would pick that up. Also, if you have no intentions on overclocking then why go for a k series processor??

The 7850 will be a lot better than the 650ti.

The Venom PSU is good, so no real need to change it.

I would personally go for a Crucial, Samsung or Intel SSD. The OCZ's haven't got the greatest track record.

If you not Overclocking having a K series CPU and Fast RAM matters not. (riddles i do talk in now :) )

Quick follow up questions:

I need a WiFi enabled motherboard because I can't get an ethernet cable to my desk, would the Gigabyte Z77N be suitable?
Also, a friend of mine is running this CPU with the stock HSF at the moment and he's getting circa 60 degrees under high load, well within tolerance but being an SFF build, this could be exacerbated. Could someone possibly recommend a suitable HSF please?

Many thanks,

- Jason
