Old school CM ATC-111c - Fit modern system? IT FITS!

Chaps!

I've got a 10 year old Cooler Master ATC-111c collecting dust and I'm looking to build a new system. These cases were, back in the day, pretty much top of the line (standard ATX as far as I know).

http://www.hardcoreware.net/reviews/review-151-1.htm

Does anyone know if this case will it fit a modern motherboard, PSU and "large" graphics card (along the lines of a 7950 or a 670?). It's been a while since I've laid my hands or eyes on modern components so I'm not familiar with how big things are these days.

Cheers for any advice :D

I've got one of these in my garage too. It was one of my favourite ever cases. Sorry I can't help but I'm interested in the answer too.

Currently running:

i5 3570k
MSI Z77 board
8GB
MSI GTX 570
500gb WD Black
Sammy 830 (boot)
Crucial M4 (cache)
4 x 80mm on rheobus (old school!)
OCZ 600w PSU

All housed in a Coolermaster Wavemaster, which is the same chassis as the above. My little brother has my old ATC-201 which he's running my old i3 2130 setup in with a 4850. That's all due to change soon as I think he's going for a 660.

I had an old coolermaster atc-201B. It fitted the larger PSU's/graphics cards/cpu fans fine. The only real downside (as someone has already mentioned), is that they only have fittings for 80mm case fans.
You might be able to use a 120<->80mm converter on them, but if I can remember correctly there just wasn't the room for that on the rear fan slot unless you start hacking away with a dremel.

Ok coolio, thanks for the input. I've just ordered the spec in my sig so I'll update the thread with some pictures once the bits arrive. A friend has a couple of other (bigger) cases he doesn't use so if it goes pear shaped i'll use one of them.

The only thing that I'm actually worried about not fitting is the graphics card:

It's 28.5cm long! the case currently has a 9800 pro sitting in it, just a tad smaller :p

How much clearance do you have between the GTX 570 and the 2.5" bays? The 7970 I've ordered is a bit longer than your card so I might have to get a dremel out!

Can't find our tape measure unfortunately, but the card is 243mm long (9.53 inches). The review of the 7970 reference card I've just read says it's 10.5 inches long. So, it should just about fit but it'll be close!

I have a Coolermaster S4000 that I was going to use for a watercooling build back when 80mm fans were standard. Its got acres of space inside it but I've never had the time to do anything with it. It's currently gathering dust in the loft, still in the original CM packing box!

Whilst I think of it, what cooler are you thinking of using? The Arctic Cooling Freezers fit, but not the higher end models. I think you're limited to about 150mm tall comfortably, with 155mm at an absolute maximum. In fact...

That's with an AC7 Freezer Pro, which according to the AC site is 127mm high. So stick 30mm on that and you're on case side touching territory! In fact, a bit less than that as I've just noticed the heatpipes sticking out the top.

Now that takes me back a few years. The S4000 makes an excellent caseefor watercooling. Back in 2006 I put a 120.3 rad inside it. When the case was was closed you couldn't tell it had a rad in it at all. I only stopped using it because I couldn't be bothered to pull it apart to upgrade it.
