I want to overclock my 3770K but the stock volts in the bios is set to auto and when i get to a point where it starts failing i don't know where to go, do I set the volts to 1 volt or 1.15 or 1.2. I just don't know.

DL core temp and run
DL intel burn test and set to maximum

To oc, set your volts to say 1.24 and your multi to 40 go into windows and run the above, ideally i'd not run temps over 85c, if it passes IBT up the multi again and re test, dont touch the voltage yet, repeat the above until it does not pass, when this occurs if your temps are good up the volts a little 0.01 at a time so next would be 1.25, 1.26 etc

4.4GHz should easily be attainable, going over this unless your lucky with your chip requires bigger voltage increases and of course more heat and lots of it.

What board are you using? And cooler?
