Youtube and quality question.

Hey guys,

First time "uploading" anything to youtube for me,Ive uploaded a WarZ clip,Which works fine but its only in 240,360 & 480p...does it take time to show 720 & 1080p?..if so how long?

I was recording in Fraps,my screen res is 1920x1080 and i just uploaded the video file fraps gave me,No editing or anything.

If it's a raw Fraps while as well I would imagine it will take quite a while, it saves the video uncompressed so would be quite a huge file size :p.

Could use something like Handbrake to chop the size down, will also help speed up the uploading process.

Thanks guys!

@Orcvader,So i just import my my movie file into handbrake,and add to Queue then start encoding..then re-upload that encoded file to YT?

Encode at around 8,000-10,000KBits/Sec bitrate if fixed or aim for around 8,000Kbit/sec variable. Youtube will never display anything more than that so encoding massively above it is a waste of time.

1080p plays at ~8,000Kbit/sec iirc.
