Hey just a quick one. If my 12v rail reads 12.09 at idle and at load does this rule out my rig not having enough power? Just trying to make sure im right before i send back a graphics card lol. Are there other tests i can do with my mm?

For the sake of putting it. The psu is a 5 year old antec earthwatts ea-500 powering:

Q6600
P35 ds3r
Gtx 460
2 x 2gb ddr2
Usb sound card traktor s2
2 sata hd and 1 ide hd
1 dvdrw

With my old graphics card 8600gt the rig runs perfect.

Cnt work out if i have faulty 460 or underpowering psu

hmm hard one really I would upgrade the PSU anyway see if that solves the problem. If not go ahead with your original plan of returning GPU

Age and temperature can affect PSU rating though you should be fine with what you are running. I ran a 280GTX and a Q6600 on an EA-380 for a month when my Corsair was away.

What is the problem you have with the 460 ?

Not necessarily as there may be an increased ripple that a multimeter wouldn't detect.

However a 500W Antec should be fine for that sort of load.
