Thanks, yeah, I just bought 3 of the Acer routers (Not those ones, the higher end triple antenna model) for work and got a amazing coverage all over the building for about 45m through 5 thick 1940's stone walls!

Thanks for the advice though Locky, looks like that may be the one! Shame it'll be behind closed doors, looks pretty!! :D

Nothing needs changing re: BT does it? Just plug it in & go? I know they like to make things as difficult as possible usually!

From what I can tell, i'm about 400 meters away from the nearest BT cabinet. Weather its the one that would serve me, is unknown, but its the only one I can see in my area.
is 400 meters a long distance, and would it affect my speeds if I was to switch to BT/plusnet?

There is a green cabinet at the end of my street which is about 60-70 meters away, but its tiny, and im pretty sure its a Virgin cabinet, because I see Virgin media vans next to it from time to time. The BT cabinets are taller and wider right?

Does this look okay for Sky fibre 80/20?

using the BT wholesale checker, I worked out that my house would be serviced by cabinet 61, which is about 200 meters away, just round the corner :)

So I should expect a decent service from BT right?
