Fugitsu Amilo li 2727 laptop with Vista.

I have tried stick 1 in either slot; all ok. 2nd stick in either slot; ok.
both sticks in any comination; will not boot to windows.

error message: The bios in this system is not fully ACPI compliant.

Both sticks seem ok and both slots seem ok but won't boot with both sticks in.

Any ideas guys?

Thanks for the reply; it all worked fine up until a couple of days ago.

Memory is as supplied when new, several years ago and no problems until now; no new hardware or anything and no viruses as far as I know. It just doesn't want to boot into windows when the two sticks are in.
I could flash BIOS etc but as all was well until now, I don't see any reason to.

Before I discovered that removing one stick (either) cured it, I was going to boot from a genuine Vista disk and reinstall but it wouldn't even do that with both sticks in.

I'm lost for ideas as to what is causing this problem and running on one gig will be a pain so would like a cure if possible.

Any other ideas?
