No mini Wi-fi card, damn shame.
I'd have pre-ordered one instantly if it had.

I realise the FM2 socket takes up a bit more room on an Itx board compared to intel.
Asrock should still have been able to shoehorn one on there, even if it was on the back of the board.

Let's hope someone else has the sense to put one on their boards, it's pretty much mandatory for ITX these days.

Not for me but kudo's to OcuK for trying to get their customers ITX FM2 boards.

I'm guessing from those nylon push pins that like Asrock Llano ITX boards this board doesn't come with a backplate for mounting CPU coolers (Can't even fit your own on the Llano board since there are components mounted on the under side). This will limit you to coolers that use spring clips.

Nope, no backplate supplied.
I cut down an AM3 steel backplate to fit a Noctua NH-C14 onto an Asrock FM2A7M-ITX board.
Runs great with an A10-5800K at a low volt 4.3ghz with 1085 on the gfx core.
DDR3 2133 ram with tight timings, this little board flies.
Enzotech Mosfets sinks I'd also recommemd if you plan to clock this board, with no active mosfet cooling out of the box, the mosfets get hot under load, very hot.

So, it is possible to mount any cooler really, sourcing metal AM3 backplates however is not (take note Andrew)
The readily available plastic AM3 backplates are not suitable to support a big cooler like the Noctua.

Top down coolers suit this board better to keep everything cool.

This cooler fits and does 'not' require a backplate at all.

Noctua NH-L9a

and Thermalright's new AXP-100 are both due for imminent release in the UK.

For something more beastly it's a case of sourcing a backplate and trimming it to miss the IC's on the rear of the board.
