Not bad!, you using gestural drawing to get a feel for the form?.Something from myself , basically a copy of a photo.
I absoloutely hate shading terrible at it. I need to also start drawing without looking at something.

Personally, I'm teaching myself anatomy to be able to draw without a reference - as until I really understand the human form (or the form of objects in general) I'll have gaps in my memory.
Yup, I do the same all the time - trying to force myself to do the rough stages first at the moment.Thank you!
Not really gestural no, I can't really get on with that, I seem to want to add too much detail too soon - I'll try and do a basic layout then slowly add detail and move things around if needs be.
The above is the second go at the drawing as I wanted to try some shading, as you can see I wasn't very good at doing so

My biggest problem is time allocation, between work, girlfriend, gym, gaming, guitar practice & socialising it's sometimes hard to get the time to really sit down & spend the 4+ hours I need to do an illustration.
Haha, very similar.Heh, I can relate entirely
Gym in the morning, work till 5, get home cook dinner and the next days lunch, then I might be able to site down for an hour, bed.
All of the above depends on if there is anything else to do around the house
^ ^ Great as always!.
Cheers
Skin composite in PS, I need to do the eyebrows and maybe a shirt then onto something else.
I really wanna chainsaw that guys neck, it's just too long!
