Undo Win 8 “Storage Pool”?

I’ve just installed Windows 8 for a friend and all has gone well apart from one feature he doesn’t like.

I installed Windows 8 on a SSD and after all was installed I installed a HDD, Windows has automatically created a “Storage Pool”, does anyone know a way of reversing this so he can see a distinct “C” and “D” drive? He’s like to keep his documents on a separate drive to Windows.

Any of the personal folders windows creates can be moved about freely. It really is as simple as changing the location e.g. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows7/redirect-a-folder-to-a-new-location ....

but the problem is only a "C" drive is visible, I think this is due to the new Storage Pooling system?

Control panel > system & security > storage spaces > manage.
