Yep, a nice little increase. Cracking gfx scores by Davanius and Majnu. This is as far as mine will go in sync. Next step will be separate known stable settings per card, and oc the cpu and ram for an increase in physics/combined. Does ram speed help much in fs/3dm 11? Ive had this kit upto 2133 mhz at 9-10-10 21, 96 trfc.

Gave my lappy a run just to see how it'd do:

http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/784890
Score: 1711
Gfx: 1778
Physics: 6447
Combined: 718

Intel Core i7-3630QM Processor @ stock (2400)
GTX 660M @ stock (405 / 2500)
Air cooled, closed case, no cooling pad.

I'll clock up a bit and see if I can do better. Already beats my old desktop.
( Desktop: http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/784304 i5 750 stock, 5750 stock
I'll try to beat those scores too so although I'm miles from the chart its nice to have somewhere to refer back to! :D )

Improved but not by much, got artifacting when I pushed the graphics much. Still, gains me a place in the leaderboard.

Highest artifact-free run:
http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/788896
Score: 1941
Gfx: 2029
Physics: 6460
Combined: 818

Intel Core i7-3630QM Processor @ stock (2400)
GTX 660M +135 / +350

I'll probably OC the CPU too, but its actually pretty hot already, so not much room :( don't think I'll be able to catch Incinerat0r / Meaker in the chart :( unless I find some other drivers or something.

Fair play mate :)

Does it seem to hold the 780 back much in games or is it holding its own?

This really depends on the game, but yes in general the Q6600 is holding 780 back.

As example on lotro I was hoping for better fps over my last card, after looking at my cpu usage it was maxing out 2 cores and gpu usage was around 40-60%.

On need for speed most wanted, gpu sits around 90-100% so this being gpu bound.

I play on 27inch monitor 2560x1400.
