New TV needed!

Got back from work to find TV had blown up! Fuses were all OK so I need to get a new one ordered. Not the end of the world as it was one of the early 720p types with only two HDMIs.

I've decided to sell all my AV equipment in the interests of a less cluttered living room, so I'd really like something with good sound - around 50" plasma, and budget of say £1000. Any ideas?

Panasonic TXP50ST60 if you can find one - they can be picked up for about £900.

Ive recently bought a sony bravia and think its a lovely bit of kit, with the only problem being they're quite stingy on the usb / hdmi ports

TV + good sound = ....

Depending on what AV equipment you're coming from - you'll likely be disappointed with the audio from most TVs available nowadays.

agree, just buy sound bar or surround set up
