when trying to view a video on vlc the picture looks muck, ive tried adjusting my screen resolution but it makes no difference, i'm assuming a setting in vlc may be the cause?
More likely to be a tiny bit of corruption in the file itself.
I use MPC ( K-lite codec pack ) and use VLC as a back up.
having said that though its not a DVD Rip is it or is it a BrRip ??
Codec packs are the devil, avoid at all costs.
You must have a GPU Driver issue or config issue somewhere. VLC plays anything you throw at it pretty much, bar a few obscure codecs with funny colour spaces.
