Hi guys, found this laptop and didn't know whether it was worth buying, I haven't looked at laptops in a long long while so bit out of the scene what is good for the money -

These are from the Dell Outlet

Inspiron 15 - 7537
Processor: Intel® Core™ i7-4500U (4M Cache, up to 3.0 GHz)
GPU: nVidia GT750M 2GB GDDR5
8 GB DDR3 Memory 1600MHz (2 DIMMs)
1 TB SATA Hard Drive (5400 RPM)
15.6 inch LED Backlit Touch Display with Truelife and FHD resolution (1920 x 1080)
Windows® 8 64bit (Englilsh)
Intel® Dual Band Wireless-N 7260 2x2 AGN + Bluetooth 4.0
LCD Back Cover : Silver (Touch)
Battery : Primary 4 Cell 58WHr

Ignoring Windows 8 of course as I'm sure I will just remove it anyway.

For the cost of £615

I will mostly be doing stuff like programming, Android development, gaming and things of that nature.

Or would it be best to wait for a laptop with an i5-4200U with the same GPU and etc without the 1080p screen for £540? But I think the 1080p screen is likely to be worth it

In my limited expereince I would say that the screen is really important and at 15" I would say that 1080p is a must. My Dell XPS is on its way out at the moment with a dodgy mobo that is being rebaked every 2 weeks. In the interim I have been using the wife's laptop which has got an inferior 1368*768 screen. You really notice the difference. Dell 1080p screens are pretty nice places to be. I wouldnt buy a device now with less than 1080p.

Well given you and others swear by it I had to ensure I got one with a 1080p screen, I ended up buying the spec above for £545 on the Dell outlet, which in my eyes is a steal. Now I just have to wait until it arrives :(!

I had a bad experience with my Dell laptop, poorly designed and overheated, lousy customer service, they told me games are categorised into two and that the laptop was only meant for the first, less demanding , category
