Don't mind the wonkiness at all, I think it suits. However I agree it does look a bit oversharpened/contrasty.

I would have chosen a larger aperture to give the picture a better sense of depth, personally.

Looks oversharpened. Also a CPL would have been a good idea to reduced the reflctions in the water. As it is the water is too bright. I wouldn't worry about the green leaves bottom right but I would in general crop much more of the bottom off, it disrupts some of the lines and draws too much focus to an uninteresting foreground.

Thanks for the comments everyone :)

This was a quick passing photo I took when i'n the park taking photo's of my nephew and had no tripod, if you look at the original it's quite a poor photo to start with but personally I really like the composition just minus the bits at the bottom of the image that are distracting.

If the weather is ok at weekend I think I might go and have another go with my tripod to see if I can improve it :)

Here is a square crop to get rid of the bottom.
