I ordered the Sapphire Radeon R9 290X Tri-X OC 4096MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card (11226-00-40G) yesterday and I'm excited to see its en-route to be delivered later today by DPD (thank you OcUK! )
I thought I did my research thoroughly but now I'm seeing posts people have created with problems relating to either faulty units or incompatibility issues with the Gigabyte motherboards and I own a Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UP7 motherboard...
To alleviate my concern, are there any "standard" tests that I can run which would diagnose or test the capability of this card? I don't yet have many graphically intensive games and for now it'll just be plugged into a bog standard 1080p monitor -- nothing too taxing but I want to know if I have a dud sooner rather than later.
I've seen the benchmark software in the sticky by Admiral Huddy but is there anything else I can try?
Thank you!
