Memory (min. 8gb) + GPU for £230?

I'm looking to throw some new memory and a replacement GPU into my 2 year old rig, but only have around £230. My first thought was around £80 for the RAM and £150 for the GPU, but whatever is necessary really, just as long as I get bang for my buck!

Any recommendations?

just go get some cheap 8gb ram like the kingston beastx at 50 and spend the rest on a 280x
