Hi

My oldy Tagan 580w just went pop. If someone could please recommend a new PSU please.
I would prefer quiet, stable and efficiency.
After using PSU calculator, a 550w should be sufficient...

Here is my components

i5 2500k Sandy OC 4400Hz
AMD MSI 7850 oc twinfrozen (abit)
3x 7200rpm SATA
1x DVD RW
1x BluRay (in the future)
2x monitors
6x USB port
1x PCI Sound Card X-Fi
4x Fans 120mm
1x Fan Controller
1x Mouse USB
1x Keyboard USB

case Antec P180 (original)

I will need to make a decision tonight so I will have the new PSU within Tuesday......
Here are my short list

650w Corsair CS650M (seems to be very quiet )

550w Corsair RM550 (not sure if this is sufficient, but have better component )

450W quality branded bronze and above PSU will power this with plenty of headroom left.

what's your budget? need modular? any significant upgrades planned?

My budget would be around £50 -80. Upgrade plan

next few years maybe upgrade my CPU GFX RAM, MB and additional SSD.

the RM550 is semi-passive, no fan can beat that.

but SF is silent too, as far as fans go.

What about the components inside PSU? which has better grade?

From the reviews RM550 has mixture of good and ok components. I can not find any review about the SF.
