Have a look at this thread by Housey about Phil Price Rally School. It's only £99 over your initial budget and appears to be utterly awesome and is the sort of driving day I'd want to do if I were after an experience day.

I thoroughly recommend this to anyone who wants a good full day with lots of seat time and the freedom to have a proper go. I've done it 3 or 4 times now and always book with a group of 10 mates, so have the place to ourselves. I think we pay circa £200 a head to do that and usually stay in a hotel about 20 minutes away the night before for a spot of dinner.

You then head up into the hills in the morning and into the school and spend the day blasting MK2 Escorts around followed by some Scooby fun and then end the day with a competition and a fast stage with Phil in a WRC car, which is fantastic and never ceases to amaze me how smooth a rally car is on the stage.

I really enjoyed my Porsche Driving Experience at Silverstone 90 minutes of driving around their facility includes a handling circuit, kick plate, ice hill. Mine was a gift but I think there in the £300 region.

I've Ben on it as well, very good fun and worth the trip. I want to test winter tyres on that surface tho :).

Ive done a couple of Porsche events and I would take Phil Price Rally school over them anytime. Mind you, I did have a GT3 so got to drive one for 20K miles :)

If you can afford it, Palmer Sport hands down without a shadow of a doubt.

Worth every single penny.

cheers will work out approx mileage and get in touch. I reckon they make a small fortune with the additional mileage surcharge

Was looking at booking one myself for a day but can't really do much driving with only 120 miles allowance.

VXR performance events used to be good value for money and if you can get yourself on the 1on1 tuition sessions its an absolute bargain.

I haven't been able to find anything that offers the same value, all the others are either way too expensive or only offer a couple of laps.

Sadly you need to be a VXR owner to do the 1o1 sessions and you can only do it once (unless they've changed the rules).

Another vote for Phil Price here :D. We had a blast :D. Huge amount of fun for the money!

Edit:I also did a Lotus day on a £99 1/2 price that included 9 laps of the National circuit in an Exige S.

+ Another vote for CAT as well. They're drift course in the Caterhams is a lot of fun. That's £350 and you need your own RWD car for the last bit (not really essential but part of the £350 cost).
