I will be launching the products later on today once all the pricing has been finalized. It will be a few more weeks before we get stock I am afraid. Yes the 10 Year Warranty is pretty good on these drives.

Typical, I've just bought an 840 Pro the other week.
Don't worry about it. You have a good drive, the 850 won't bring much difference to what you have. Slightly faster maybe? You wont notice it.

what about jumping from a Corsair force Series 3 to 850pro ?(especially if I raid them) I'm hoping to see a difference to break the bottleneck in my dad's pc (amd phenomII-1190, 2x ssd 128gb in raid 0) or I go down the pci-e route!

It seems slow somehow?! booting up isn't as fast as I expect it to be.. Maybe it's Windows ? My setup is different but then mine isn't AMD.

This mean the 840 series will drop even more in price now??... 840 series 250GB for £60-70 maybe??

RAID initialisation could be to blame, or if using Marvell controller that'll slow things down too, or increased latencies going via RAID controller could be having a more significant negative impact than expected. Or maybe his Windows install needs cleaned up a bit to do less unnecessary stuff on startup. Single SSD will lose some benchmarks but may be faster booting.
