What is causing this? I have had my computer(which is brand new from Overclockers) crash on the start up scrren and then forget the date and time. Mostly it'll revert back to 2009, but today it was 18320 - this is new.

Sometimes if I manually update the time via windows it'll fix its self, but other times it'll give me errors.

I had problems with my graphics card, which has been fixed, I hope, with a RMA and a brand new card. But now this has started happening, I am confused.

I have done a scan with Malwarebytes and there's nothing coming up. AVG also shows nothing. So, from what I've read it could be the CMOS battery, on a brand new board?

Have you checked that the battery hasn't popped out or become loose?

If it's still in place it may be worth replacing for a couple of quid to avoid the potential hassle of another RMA.
