Air purifier?

Are these things worth it for removing dust from the air? If so, whats a good model to go for?

Wouldnt it make a house less dusty?

I mean it wont impact any dust thats settled now but in the future it would take longer for a surface to become dusty if an air purifier was used... in theory?
