Please bear with me as this is not quite what it seems.
Ccleaner has created a scheduled task that by-passes the UAC prompt. Great I thought I'll simply duplicate this task and change the executable path for another application I don't want to be prompted by UAC for. However this does not appear to work.
So I did a little looking around and following other guides I created a shortcut to the scheduled task (e.g. schtasks /run /tn "task-name") this works but pops and nasty command prompt window right before launching the application.
So my question is why does Ccleaner work without using a shortcut that points to the scheduled task?
Thanks
