Two at 8x 8x SLI is what will happen and it will be fine. clock the 3570k and get the memory speed up and it will blaze through anything.

I was going to go for two 290s but it would have meant upgrading the PSU and probably the case. If the 970 rumours are true I should be OK just buying the cards.

Just posted some more review shots, it's official, the GTX 980 is the new king.

The GTX 970 takes on the 290X at almost half the power consumption. Very impressive imho.

Weird how the Galax 980 custom card has no backplate, yet the GTX 970 does, can't give a link because it's a pricing site for the whole of Europe sorry, no prices listed yet anyway lol.

not sure which brand to go for if reviews are good. Had 6 gigabyte cards fail in first 12 months so kinda want to not go their again

there so called turnarounds is more like 20 days not 2-5
