Looks neat, I could live with that. The HS8s look huge though :) I guess its the 42" TV that does that.. I have HS7's for my DJ setup.. how do they work with movies?

Yea they are physically quite large but it dosn't look ridiculous in the room, the picture does make them look a bit over sized though.

Fantastic for movies, if you give them the space behind for the porting on the low end then they sound wicked.

Replaces my Technical SL-1210 turntable today with some vintage:

It's currently got an A&R P77 installed but might replace that at some point (although it sounds a lot better than my SL-1210 so might leave it as it is for now).

1 issue I've noticed is it's prone to jumping and skipping if anyone walks past it, not sure why as the counter weight is setup as per the instructions (1.8g of force)

Long time lurker, first time poster... Some fantastic set-ups in this topic!

LG 42" TV
2 X Yamaha HS8's
1 X Yamaha RXV775 (Networked and does all the HDMI Switching)
1 X Apple TV
1 X Apple Time Capsule
1 X Toshiba Blu Ray Player (Hidden)
1 X Google Chromecast

All the networking and Ariel cable was run under the floor before we put new carpets in.

Content is managed through the Apple TV and iTunes.

Would be nice to add a bit more surround sound and maybe a subwoofer but with an 8" driver in the HS8s they push some serious low end.

Simple, Clean and beautiful!

Nice job!

I think my system has changed a lot since I last posted here, it's currently like this.

60" LG Plasma (no room for a projector :()
PMC OB1i Front L&R
PMC CB6i Centre
Ken Kreisel Q125 Tri-FX surrounds
Anthem MRX 510 doing the processing and powering the rears.
Musical Fidelity M6i powering the OB1i
Hypex NC400 ncore powering the CB6i
SVS PC12-Plus 12" ported sub 525w
15" Fi SP4 sub in custom sealed enclosure powered by Cerwin Vega CV2800 power amp.
Audiolab MDAC into the M6i for 2 channel music.

I'm really happy with it all at the moment, next upgrade will be the MDAC to MDAC2 upgrade. If I manage to get a bigger room then I'd get a projector and maybe more subs.

Meant to post a pic of this a while ago

Bought a second-hand Epson EH-TW3200 3LCD Projector (25000:1, 1800 ANSI Lumens, Full HD 1080p)

Picture is 110". Projector can do 300"

Projected straight onto a magnolia wall. Surprisingly good image. Only complaint is the blacks are not as black as I would like them

Speaker set-up is just a basic 3.1

Pic of my friend playing Outlast using the projector :)
